Alex’s Lemonade Stand

Alex’s Lemonade Stand is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, supporting families and empowering everyone to help cure childhood cancer. Our team donates time and money towards this great cause every year.

Ashline Financial team member, Kelly Albers and her family volunteered their time at the Big Slick KC Celebrity Softball Tournament in June of 2022. Scott Ashline and Kelly Albers are both donors to this cause. Big Slick raises money and awareness for the Children’s Mercy Hospital. Over the years, the attention that Big Slick has brought to Children’s Mercy has helped with their recruiting efforts attracting top medical and research talent. Big Slick also helped to expose an even larger audience to the nationally recognized work being done at Children’s Mercy. Children’s Mercy is a leading independent children’s health organization dedicated to holistic care, translational research, educating caregivers and breakthrough innovation to create a work of well-being for all children. Curebound is headquartered in San Diego with a unique combination of three NCI-cancer centers, clinical care hospitals, biotech companies, venture capital investors, philanthropic networks, and most importantly-a regional culture that embraces the spirit of collaboration. Scott Ashline and Bobby Coffman attended Curebound’s Concert for Cures in 2023. Then for a second paragraph, our team participated in the Padres Pedal for a Cause in 2024 where the event aims to accelerate cures of cancer and every dollar raised is used to fund collaborative research among San Diego’s top research institutions. To date over $21 million has been raised, and this has helped fund 80+ innovative research giants for all types of cancer.

Just in Time for Foster Youth envisions a future in every youth leaving the foster care system has access to a community of lived experience peers and caring adults after 18. They believe consistent, long-term help from the heart is the foundation for the success of our youth so they can thrive and enjoy productive, satisfying lives. Just in Time allows volunteers to support youth participants with career exploration, resume writing, financial literacy and many other opportunities.

Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego

The Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to serve more than 25,000 youth and their families in the greater San Diego region. After school and day camp programs include the arts, recreation, character development and youth sports leagues.

Scott was presented the Community Service Award by the Northwestern Mutual Foundation for his contributions to the Boys and Girls Club. In honor of this recognition, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation awarded the Boys and Girls Club a $10,000 grant.

Scott is a current member of EO. EO is an organization for entrepreneurs only and has a global network of more than 8,000 business owners in 40 countries. Founded in 1987 by a group of young entrepreneurs, EO is the catalyst that enables entrepreneurs to learn and grow from each other, leading to greater business success and an enriched personal life. Membership in one of EO’s 120 chapters is by invitation only.
