Scott is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego. This is a non-profit organization whose purpose is to serve more than 25,000 youth and their families in the greater San Diego region. After school and day camp programs include the arts, recreation, character development and youth sports leagues.
Scott was presented the Community Service Award by the Northwestern Mutual Foundation for his contributions to the Boys and Girls Club. In honor of this recognition, the Northwestern Mutual Foundation awarded the Boys and Girls Club a $10,000 grant.
Scott is a current member of NAIFA. In the past, Scott has also been President and Vice President of Government Relations. NAIFA is a national nonprofit organization representing the interests of more than 70,000 insurance and financial advisors nationwide, through its federation of over 900 state and local associations. Founded in 1890, NAIFA is the nation's largest financial services membership association.
Scott has been a long time sponsor of The USD School of Law-Procopio International Tax Institute Conference. This conference draws reputable and internationally recognized leaders and experts in the field of international tax law to provide new and relevant developments in the U.S., Mexican and Canadian international tax law arena.
Scott has been a sponsor of the San Diego County Bar Foundation. This Foundation is the charitable arm of the San Diego County Bar Association. The Foundation’s mission is to provide access to justice by investing in sustainable results and advocacy for people and communities in our region that are impacted by poverty, abuse and discrimination.
Scott is a member of the Parent Board of Directors that advise on school policy. This board is specifically responsible for all the budgeting and fundraising efforts.
Scott was Nation Chief and ran the Wildcat Nation Adventure Guides Program. He also directed fundraising efforts for the annual YMCA Capital Campaign.
The YMCA engages more than 10,000 neighborhoods across the U.S. It is one of the nation’s leading nonprofit organizations committed to helping people and communities. The YMCA’s goal is to give everyone the opportunity to become healthier, more confident, connected and secure.
Scott is a current member of EO. EO is an organization for entrepreneurs only and has a global network of more than 8,000 business owners in 40 countries. Founded in 1987 by a group of young entrepreneurs, EO is the catalyst that enables entrepreneurs to learn and grow from each other, leading to greater business success and an enriched personal life. Membership in one of EO’s 120 chapters is by invitation only.
Scott is a member of the Gift Planning Advisory Board.
